Scaling Up Efforts To Curb COVID-19 In Lysoka

Association for Women Empowerment Cameroon (AWEC ) in collaboration with Investing in People Worldwide (IPW), Mobilizing and intensifying the vision of educating girls(MIVEC ) joined efforts to fight against COVID-19 in Lysoka community, Buea Southwest Region of Cameroon. The activities carried out include awareness-raising, sensitization on signs, symptoms, and WHO preventive measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.
To prevent the spread of covid-19, the population was trained on how to make local hand sanitizers. Face masks and soaps were handed to the community health center. All in all, a total of 100 persons were reached and got in-depth knowledge on COVID -19 and how to fight the COVID -19 pandemic. 200 masks were also shared and some wash hand points were installed in the community
