“Empowering Communities for Climate Resilience and Social Justice!
We are thrilled to share the completion of our 6 months project themed: “Empowering Communities for Climate Resilience and Social Justice” in Mabanda, Douala!
From July to December 2024, the Association for Women Empowerment Cameroon (AWEC) worked closely with the Mabanda community to build their capacity to address climate change and promote social justice.
Key activities included:
1) Workshop: Building the capacity of community members to address climate change
2) Advocacy: Raising awareness and influencing policy change on climate justice
3) Community Outreach: Engaging with community members to promote climate resilience and social justice
We are grateful for the support from our funding partners GenEgaliteECCAS and Women for a Change, Cameroon for making this project a reality.
