As part of the 2024 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, Association for women Empowerment Cameroon-AWEC in collaboration with Mother Of Hope Cameroon – Mohcam carried out sensitization activities in several schools in Douala including:

We discussed critical topics such as toxic masculinity and school-related GBV, empowering pupils, students and teachers with knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to GBV.
This year’s theme, “Rebuilding After the Abuse”, reminds us that healing and recovery are possible, and that together, we can create a supportive community that empowers survivors to rebuild their lives after the abuse.
