The second day of the Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics (ABCDE 2024) event, took place at the Center for Global Development with discussions centered around the Economic Inclusion of women and youths.
During the first session, four scientific research papers were presented with focus on: Social Safety Nets and Women’s Labor Force Participation in Low Middle Income Countries.
In the second session, experts further engaged with the participants on four more papers around: Norms and Other Constraints to Women’s Economic Inclusion.
The last session for the day saw yet another four papers presented with emphasis on Economic Inclusion of Youth.
These presentations held within them a wide menu for policy implications on how development patners, governments, private sector and civil society organizations, can work in synergy to improve the lives of the women and youths.
In conclusion, the economic inclusion of women and youths gives them access to services, opportunities, and experiences that can help them build capacities to reach their economic autonomy and increase their participation in the economy.
